The Veterinary Practioners Association and AsiaCongress teamed up again after a decade, to secure another hosting bid for the World Congress on Small Annimals (WSAVA). Just under 10 years ago VPAT and ACE won the bid to host the 2003 WSAVA which resulted in a general proclamation of the "Best Ever" congress in its long history.

Now the battle in on the influence the 75 decision makers of the general assembly to ensure that the Thailand bid stand out from Singapore, Germany and South Africa for 2014, the next available year. Dr Chainaron, President of VPAT remembers the successes of 2003 and feels that 2014 could certainly exceed the expectation again. Thailand Pet market has doubled since 2003 and is seeing a 10% annual growth in line with other Asian countries.

AsiaCongress will assist VPAT in the planning and execution, supported by TCEB, Thailand's dynamic convention bureau. The vote will take place this June in Geneva.
